Output, purity and pressure
The process of this KDON-400/2500 Cryogenic Air Separation Plant utilizes turbine expansion with fan braking, and utilizes reflux expansion double column to produce oxygen and nitrogen.
A small part of purified process air is extracted out as instrument air; the rest flows to the bottom of nitrogen column to participate in rectification, in such way the nitrogen gas is obtained at the top of nitrogen column, while the oxygen enriched liquid air from the bottom is throttled and flows into the condensation side of condenser evaporator, which is used to condense the gas nitrogen at the top of nitrogen column. Part of the nitrogen gas from the top of nitrogen column is extracted as product, and the other part is sent to the condenser evaporator of oxygen column to be condensed, and then it is sent back to the top of lower column to follow rectification. The liquid air from extracted from the lower part of condenser evaporator of nitrogen column is subcooled by subcooler, and then throttled to the top of oxygen column to follow rectification. Oxygen gas extracted from the lower part of oxygen column is sent to the client after rewarmed by heat exchanger. Waste nitrogen extracted from the bottom of main condenser evaporator is fed to the expander for expansion refrigeration through rewarmed in main heat exchanger.
