Process Description:

 

     The whole VPSA is consisted of blower, vacuum pump, switch valve, adsorber, oxygen balance tank, oxygen booster and oxygen storage tank. Following the elimination of dust particles from feed air at the in the suction inlet filter, the feed air is boosted to 49-58 Kpa by roots blower, and after being cooled by subcooler, it enters into one adsorber, in which filled with adsorbent. The moisture, CO2 and other small amount gas component are adsorbed at the adsorber inlet by the activated aluminium oxide and molecular sieve filled at the bottom. While the oxygen (including argon) which are non-adsorption component goes out from the outlet at the top of adsorber, and then it is fed to the oxygen balance tank as product gas.

 

    When the adsober conducts the adsorption to a certain degree, and the adsorbent will reach saturation condition, use vacuum pump to vacuumize the adsorber (be opposite with the adsorption direction), and the vacuum degree is -50-60 Kpa. The adsorbed moisture, CO2, nitrogen and other small amount gas component will be withdrawn and discharged to the atmosphere, and the adsorbent will be regenerated. Each adsorber conducts the following steps in switch:

The above three basic process steps will be automatic controlled by PLC and switching valve system.
